The salad lid features two internal containers – a 1/2-cup for dry foods and a 1/4-cup for dressings. The jars themselves are made from durable, tempered, pure Pyrex glass that resists stains and does not absorb food odors or flavors. They are dishwasher, freezer, and microwave safe. The BPA-free plastic lids can also go in the top rack of the dishwasher, freezer, and microwave.

A 2-year limited warranty covers the glass containers and plastic lids. Pyrex glassware is designed to be versatile and long-lasting. You can use it for preparing, storing, cooking, baking, warming, or reheating food in pre-heated conventional and convection ovens, or in microwaves. Cleanup is easy – just place the Pyrex pieces in the dishwasher.

However, there are a few important safety precautions to keep in mind when using Pyrex glassware. Always preheat your oven before placing Pyrex dishes inside, as direct exposure to the heating element during preheating can cause the glass to break. Do not use Pyrex on the stovetop, under the broiler, in a toaster oven, or on a grill, as these direct heat sources can also damage the glass.

Before cooking items that may release liquid, add a small amount of liquid to the bottom of the Pyrex dish first. Once hot, do not add more liquid, as this sudden temperature change can compromise the glass's strength. Avoid placing hot Pyrex directly on countertops, wet surfaces, or metal – use potholders, trivets, or cooling racks instead. Allow Pyrex to come to room temperature before immersing in water or putting in the freezer, refrigerator, microwave, or preheated oven.

Pyrex lids are microwave and food storage safe, but cannot go in conventional or convection ovens unless specifically noted. Pyrex glassware and lids are dishwasher safe, but keep both away from direct heat elements. When hand-washing, use non-abrasive cleaners and, if needed, a plastic or nylon pad to remove baked-on food.
